Orleans: Roofing, Windows & Doors Project
Dear Nuden:
My wife and I are extremely happy with the patio door installed on February 18, 2009, in our home between the kitchen and the solarium. The work was carried out by Paul and Pierre, who were never short of ideas on how to resolve some complications that came up relating to installing a door between the original house structure and the added-on solarium.
We were not sure of how much of a change it would make until the work was finished. The door selection and installation has greatly enhanced both the appearance from the kitchen to the solarium and the reverse view, solarium to kitchen. In the short time the door has been installed, the kitchen is definitely warmer, which will provide saving for us over time.
We were talking the other day about all the work Nuden has completed on our home. When we started with Nuden, the first work we wanted was the front two bay windows (up and down) changed to a larger size. This was made easy with Luc Lachapelle, a civil engineer, who not only changed the windows to the size we wanted but corrected problems from the original installation.
After the front was completed, the dining room window was changed to a very large bay window and again the wall structure was changed for the installation. Larry the installer (from Sudbury) completed the work for Luc for both the front and back of the house.
At the time of this work I had problems with our solarium and I asked Luc if Nuden worked on solariums; unfortunately you do not. However, Luc looked at the existing structure and listed what was wrong with it. He also listed what should be in the replacement specification required for a contractor to complete a new installation. When the old structure was removed, Luc was correct on the problems and the specification was used when dealing with the contractor that installed the new solarium.
Between jobs Luc dropped by for a coffee now and then and when we installed a granite countertop he helped us purchase granite and most importantly showed us what to look for and how the counters should be measured. We watched the granite people doing their work and nothing was missed. The job was completed and we were very satisfied.
One of the more complicated jobs undertaken by Nuden was the ensuite bathroom where two large windows in a corner of the room were originally very close to the corner bathtub, we wanted both windows moved out 12 inches from the tub -- once again Luc came to the rescue. The structure was changed and modified, the new windows were installed and the inside finished. Over four years or more and the installation looks as good as the day the work was finished.
All of the above is now under the new metal roof installed by Nuden’s Paul, Brenda and Josh Bigras, which further adds to our home.
Once again Nuden came through with an exceptional installation at our residence – this time it was vinyl siding with insulation. The installer was without a doubt a top-of-the-line tradesperson; his detail in the installation was extremely good. Danny came on time, started to work and did not stop until evening. The yard was cleaned through the day and again in the evening. When we had to leave during the day, we felt our house was secure with Danny working on the site.
Just today we have had people ring the doorbell giving us compliments and inquiring about our aluminum roof and vinyl siding! Further similar jobs have been completed and no doubt if future work on our residence is required, we know where to get the job done.
Yours truly,
Mr. & Mrs. William Holland
